Too many caterpillars?

There is nothing in the caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly.

The other day, a client and I were discussing how a newsletter can so often feel like just another chore. Something that must be done, instead of something to enjoy doing.

Most of the time, I’m set out to fix this for my clients–by offering tips and techniques that I know help make the publishing process more enjoyable.

But this week, I realized that maybe there’s nothing to “fix.” Maybe it’s okay that sometimes the newsletter (or whatever the task at hand may be) is a chore.

Instead of offering a “how to fix it” article, I thought I’d share this winding garden path paired with Fuller’s quote.

Some days, it feels like everything is a caterpillar showing absolutely no signs of becoming a butterfly. But maybe that’s exactly where we’re supposed to be–surrounded by the caterpillars.

What do you think? I’d love for you to post your thoughts here.
